I am an
autumn leaf
on a summers day
praying
that all of this
will fade away
photosynthesis
all in reverse
the sun makes me blush
my pigmentation
is scattered like raindrops
milky strawberry crush
if you are the sun

and like jasmines in bloom
a scented lullaby to aid me
in this emotional insomniac state
and like stars at the brink of doom
an army of wishes to lead me
to my long lost life long fate
if you are the stars
will you guide me?

when our worlds collide
all that will be left is steam
when our paths coincide
reality will over shine the dream
